Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT), also known as Image-Guided SRT (IG-SRT), offers a proven, non-invasive alternative to surgery for treating non-melanoma skin cancers. With a 99%+ cure rate, no cutting or stitches, and minimal downtime, SRT is ideal for sensitive areas like the nose, lips, ears, and scalp.

Why Choose SRT Over Surgery?

The Benefits of Superficial Radiation Therapy

SRT provides a safe, non-surgical way to treat skin cancers and keloids with high cure rates, minimal downtime, and natural-looking results.

Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) eliminates the need for surgery. With no cutting, bleeding, or stitches, the treatment is gentle and virtually pain-free, helping patients feel at ease throughout the process.

SRT is proven to be over 99% effective in treating basal and squamous cell skin cancers. With precision imaging, we ensure cancerous cells are fully treated while protecting healthy tissue for the best possible outcome.
Because SRT doesn’t involve incisions, it leaves little to no scarring. This makes it especially beneficial for treating visible areas like the face, where maintaining natural cosmetic appearance is important.
Treatments are performed right in our office and usually take only a few minutes per session. With no downtime or major restrictions, patients can return to work, bathing, and daily life immediately after each visit.

Want to cure your skin cancer without surgery?

If you suspect that you have skin cancer or have recently been diagnosed and were told you need treatment, schedule an appointment with us today.

At Campbell Dermatology & Aesthetics, our advanced Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) provides a safe, non-surgical treatment option with a 99%+ cure rate for basal and squamous cell skin cancers.
Treatment is performed right in our dermatology office over the course of a few weeks, using state-of-the-art imaging technology to deliver precise, targeted care.

What makes Image-Guided SRT unique is the use of high-resolution ultrasound imaging, which allows both you and your provider to see the cancer below the surface and monitor progress throughout treatment.
This real-time visualization ensures the dose is adjusted exactly to what your skin needs—session by session—until no signs of cancer remain.

No two cases of skin cancer are the same, so treatment results may vary from patient to patient. But the pictures
below are typical of the results seen by patients who have received GentleCure (Image-Guided SRT).

Simulation

Before Treatment

This image shows a basal cell skin cancer on the upper ear before treatment with Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT). The cancer is visible on the surface, and the ultrasound image reveals the full depth, width, and extent of the tumor beneath the skin. This detailed imaging helps us precisely map and target the area that needs treatment.

Mid-Treatment

During Treatment

Around the halfway point of treatment with Image-Guided SRT, the cancer on the surface of the skin has already begun to shrink. The ultrasound image confirms that the tumor beneath the skin is also decreasing in size as treatment progresses.

2-Week Follow Up

After Treatment

At the two-week follow-up after completing Image-Guided SRT, the treated area on the ear shows no visible signs of cancer. The ultrasound scan also confirms continued reduction of the tumor beneath the skin. By the 30-week follow-up, the ultrasound shows complete resolution, with no remaining evidence of cancer.
